One county, four different jobs
Orange County is a coastline of glass houses, business parks and clubs a few miles inland, showrooms along the freeways and an old downtown full of brick. We plant all of them, and no two are planned the same way.
The light, the floor, the people walking past and how often someone can water all change from one city to the next. Here is how that looks in four of our Orange County projects.
01 · Laguna Beach
Houses in Laguna Beach and Newport Coast are built around the ocean and the light. In this Laguna Beach home a pair of trees frames the fireplace, a dracaena rises over the dining table and a small tree in a moss bowl sits low by the floor-to-ceiling windows.
Nothing stands in front of the glass. Taller plants go along the walls, smaller ones by the windows, so the room stays green without losing the view.

02 · Costa Mesa & Irvine
The Park Club in Costa Mesa is a members’ club with a restaurant, and its plants have to look right from every booth. Kentia palms stand behind the dining booths, orchids sit on the tables and a ficus fills the garden window by the work desks.
A few miles away, Irvine’s business parks are a different job: sealed glass, steady air conditioning and deep interior rooms, where we choose plants that are happy with less light.

Where we work
Our Orange County route sits between our San Diego base and Los Angeles. These are the cities where our plants already are.
03 · Anaheim & West Covina
A showroom has tall glass, strong afternoon sun and a floor that must stay clear. At Toyota of West Covina the palms and fiddle-leaf figs are scaled to the cars and the ceiling, placed so every sightline to a vehicle stays open.
We use fewer, larger plants in heavy planters, and water on a fixed schedule so the floor looks the same on the first and the last day of the month.

Santa Ana’s older downtown buildings come with character: high ceilings, big windows and rooftops. In this creative office we planted a rooftop lounge around the fire table and kept the inside simple, with cacti along the window shelf.
When a space already has a strong look, the plants follow it rather than compete with it.

Common questions
All of it. Our projects run from West Covina, Anaheim and Orange in the north through Santa Ana, Costa Mesa and Irvine to Newport Beach, Laguna Beach and Coto de Caza.
Yes. We start with a walkthrough of what is already there, flag anything that needs catching up first, and take over on a schedule that fits your current contract.
It depends on the light. Sealed glass offices with interior rooms suit dracaena, ZZ, snake plants and philodendron; bright window lines can take fiddle-leaf figs, olive trees and palms. We choose after seeing the space.
Tall glass, afternoon sun and a floor that has to stay clear for the cars. We use fewer, larger specimens in heavy planters, scaled to the ceiling, and water on a fixed schedule so nothing drips on the floor.
Book a walkthrough through the form below. We look at the space, then send a visual design and an itemized proposal.

Every Orange County project is planned with Katya: which plants, which planters and where each one goes, from the Laguna Beach house to the showroom floor.
